In the first three months of 2019 in Kazakhstan some 8,822 vehicles were manufactured, which is 30 percent more than in the same period of the previous year, Trend reports via The Association of Kazakhstan Automobile Business.
The number of manufactured passenger cars reached 8,300 (+27.9 percent), as well as some 205 trucks (+15.8 percent), some 151 trailers and semi-trailers (+60.6 percent), some 149 buses (6.8 times more) and some 13 pieces of specialized vehicles (-31.6 percent).
The volume of manufacturing amounted to 56.6 billion tenge, which is 42.9 percent more that in the same period of 2018.
In the period January-March 2019 the Azia Avto manufacturer is a leader by the amount of manufactured passenger cars (5,049 cars). Another 3,255 cars were manufactured by Saryarka Avtoprom.
More than half of the manufacturing accounts for East Kazakhstan Region, where 5,201 light and heavy-duty vehicles worth 28.6 billion tenge were manufactured.
It is followed by Kostanay Region and Akmola Region where some 3,328 cars (24.7 billion tenge) and some 78 cars (1.2 billion tenge) were manufactured.
Furthermore, some 37 cars of passenger cars and buses worth 978.4 million tenge were manufactured.
