New livestock farms are to be created within the framework of developing the region around Altyn Asyr artificial lake in Karakum Desert, Trend reports with reference to Neytralny Turkmenistan newspaper.
Furthermore, the project on construction of a camel milk processing workshop on the base of livestock complexes Balasham in Dashoguz region and Ak-Yayla in Balkan region. Each complex has two herds of dromedary camels of 90-100 animals each. The workshop is to process milk of 200 camels.
Local scientists also offered to manufacture powder from the camel milk. In this case, the substrate made from basil, thyme, fennel, sweet wormwood, mint is being added, which adds exquisite taste and increases their benefits of the product restored from the powder.
“Camel husbandry in local desert environment can be successfully developed. That is due to the fact that the salt concentration of the lake is within 7-9 grams per liter. Sheep can drink mineralized water with up to six grams of salt per liter, whereas camels can drink water with 16 grams of salt per liter,” newspaper said.
The water in Altyn Asyr artificial lake can flow for hundreds of years. The Karashor depression long natural bowl is practically limitless and can take enormous volume of water. Currently the water is in the major reservoir. According to experts, the volume of the kept water amounts up to 580 million cubic meters.
The camel milk product has a lot of beneficial characteristics, microelements and vitamins three times as much as cow milk. The end product Chal is an excellent dietary and therapeutic product.
