Baku, Azerbaijan, July 5
By Matanat Nasibova – Trend:
Azerbaijani company SR Group, which produces and sells textile products, as well as industrial goods, plans to start exports in the near future, Sabit Najafov, the company’s director, told Trend.
He said that the company regards Russia as a potential foreign market.
“We sew clothing, various types of finished products from textiles, produce rubber gloves, masks, hats and other goods,” he noted. “The head office of our company and textile factory are located in Istanbul, from there, products come from Baku and are sold in specialized stores of our company located in the Narimanov district of Baku. Sales are carried out both at retail and on the basis of large orders of enterprises and organizations. Since the beginning of this year, sales have increased by 20 percent compared with the reporting period of five months of last year.”
He said that the greatest demand is for working clothes made of cotton-synthetic material.
“The minimum order for this type of product is 50 pieces, the maximum is over 100 pieces,” he added. “Overalls produced at the factory in Istanbul, which employs over 150 professional seamstresses, are mainly sent for export. At the same time, only 20 employees work at the textile factory in Baku.”
The director noted that the company doesn’t plan to open any new branches in the near future or in the medium term, but plans to expand the client base at the expense of future exports.
The SR Group has been operating in Baku and in Turkey since 2002.
