Export of agricultural equipment from Iranian province up by 50%

Export of agricultural equipment from Iran's southwestern Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province during current Iranian year (started March 21, 2019) has increased by 50 percent, compared to the same period last year, Deputy Chairman of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of the province Amin Salabat, told IRNA, Trend reports.

According to him, an unnamed industrial enterprise exported 154 pieces of agricultural equipment to Afghanistan, Turkey, Iraq, Turkmenistan and certain African countries in three months (from March 21 to June 21).

Salabat added that, as a result of the exports, $273,000 have been earned up until now, and 40 people have been provided with jobs.

He also said that the exported equipment included threshers, straw choppers, trailer trucks, and tractor mills, among others. Salabat expressed hope that exports will increase by the end of the year.

More than 2,000 industrial enterprises operate in Iran’s Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province.
