Domestic Producer Price Index for Industrial Products in Georgia grows

In June 2019, the Domestic Producer Price Index for Industrial Products (DPPI) in Georgia increased by 0.7 percent compared to the previous month, Trend reports referring to National Statistics Office of Georgia.

In this period, prices for manufactured products increased by 0.6 percent.

Compared to June 2018, DPPI increased by 5.5 percent. The prices for manufactured products and for products from mining and quarrying grew by 8.6 and 5.1 percent, respectively. Meanwhile, the prices for electricity, gas, steam and hot water decreased by 8.6 percent.

In March 2019, DPPI in Georgia increased by 0.8 percent compared to the previous month. The prices for manufactured products and for products from mining and quarrying increased by 0.7 percent and 7.3 percent respectively.

Compared to March 2018, the DPPI increased by 5.0 percent. There was a 5.7 percent increase in the prices for manufactured products, and 7.2 percent growth for products from mining and quarrying, while the increase in the prices for electricity, gas, steam and hot water amounted to 1.4 percent.
