Kazakhstan's export to other EAEU countries down

The value of Kazakhstan’s export to other member states of Eurasian Economic Union amounted to $2.410 billion during first five months of 2019, which is 4.1 percent less than during the same period of last year, Trend reports with reference to Eurasian Economic Commission’s data.

Thus, the first place by volume of Kazakhstan’s export accounts for Russia with the indicator of $2.151 billion, which is 2.4 percent less, than during the same period of last year. It is followed by Kyrgyzstan and Belarus with exported volume of $217.5 million (decrease of 16.6 percent) and $39.1 million (decrease of 14.7 percent).

Kazakhstan’s export to other countries decreased due to the decrease of metals and metal products export by 21.5 percent and of chemical industry products export by 11.6 percent.

However, the export of mineral products increased by 2.1 percent, of food items and agricultural raw materials by 12.8 percent, of machinery, equipment and vehicles by 27.1 percent.

Furthermore, Russia is also the leader by exporting to Kazakhstan with indicators of $5.05 billion, which is however 4.6 percent less than during the same period of last year. In turn, Kyrgyzstan and Belarus exported goods to Kazakhstan worth $126.8 million (+13.5 percent) and $290.2 million (decrease of 4.2 percent) respectively.
