The construction of a new Angren Insulation plant, the only one in Central Asia for the production of mineral wool, has begun In the Angren Free Economic Zone (Uzbekistan), Trend reports via Uzbek media.
The report notes that more than $40 million will be invested in the construction of a plant being built in cooperation with China.
The launch of the plant, which will employ 300 people, is scheduled for 2020.
The plant will be equipped with automated lines with a production capacity of more than 50,000 tons of finished products.
Note that, mineral wool is an important and alternative energy-saving product in Central Asia.
The use of mineral wool insulation during construction significantly increases the energy efficiency of any building.
The use of mineral wool by construction companies and the public can help save at least 10 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year.
This amount of saved natural gas costs about $1 billion.
