Several villages of the Zestaponi municipality of Georgia's Imereti region started being provided with gas since August 16 and up until October 23, said the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Natia Turnava, Trend reports citing commersant.ge.
According to her, under the project, 158 households will be provided with gas. The estimated cost of the project will be 59,999.71 lari. The work will be carried out by the Georgian Energy Invest 2009 company.
In particular, according to the minister, the gas supply to the village of Shimshilakedi has been ongoing since July and will be completed in September. A total of 39 households will be provided with gas. The estimated cost of the project is 64,508.03 lari. The work is carried out by the Mnatobi 2013 company.
“As for the village of Skande, Terzholsky municipality, gas supply began in July this year, and in September, after completion of work, 215 households will be able to use gas. The estimated cost of the project is 383,710.92 lari. The work is carried out by Mnatobi 2013,” said Turnava.
In accordance with the gas supply plan of the government for 2019-2021, with the participation of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, 226 settlements throughout the country will be provided with gas. By 2021, more than 1.3 million people across the country will be provided with gas.
Georgia’s gas supply plan also includes villages that haven't had any gas supply previously.
