Kazakhstan sees GDP increase

The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Kazakhstan, according to the preliminary data, amounted to 26.697 trillion tenge during January-June 2019 compared to 24.857 trillion tenge during the same period of last year, Trend reports with reference to the data of Committee of Statistics of Kazakhstan.

The volume index of the GDP during the reporting period equaled 104.1 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. Furthermore, the share of production of goods and of services in the structure of GDP is 37.9 percent and 53.9 percent respectively.

In a more detailed breakdown, the largest share of GDP still accounts for services (53.9 percent) and is followed by industry (30.9 percent), net taxes (8.2 percent), construction (4.6 percent), and agriculture, forestry and fisheries (2.4 percent).

GDP in market prices represents the end result of the production activities of resident producers.

The volume index of the GDP characterizes the change in the volume of production of goods and services in the economy for a certain period.
