Georgia begins negotiations on direct flights with US

The Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Natia Turnava is leading a delegation to the US, where she is to hold talks with two leading US airlines on the start of direct flights between Georgia and the United States, Trend reports citing the Georgian Ministry.
Turnava will reportedly meet with representatives of Delta Air Lines and United Airlines and will give them a detailed presentation about Georgia.
The visit to the US was announced in August of this year.
Turnava believes that the launch of direct flights between the countries will be a clearly positive political step for a strategic partnership with the US.
The Georgian Embassy in the United States participated in organizing the visit together with the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.
