By Elnur Baghishov - Trend:

Iran may renew export of kiwi from October 8, Director General of the Coordination Department for the Development of Agricultural Products of the Iran Trade Promotion Organization Mahmoud Bazari said.

The decision was made as a result of the compliance with the quality standards of kiwi and the protection of the Iranian brand in the target markets, Bazari added, Trend reports referring to the organization’s website.

Bazari added that the export of kiwi was banned from July 6 to October 7 to prevent the sale of the products, which did not comply with the quality standards, in the target markets.

Iran exported kiwi worth $96 million last Iranian year (from March 21, 2018 to March 21, 2019). Among the target markets are mainly Russia, Iraq, India, the United Arab Emirates and Afghanistan.
