Slight cargo turnover increase observed in Kazakhstan

Volume of cargo turnover in Kazakhstan amounted to 445 billion tonne kilometers during first nine months of 2019, which is 1.6 percent more than during the same period of last year, Trend reports with reference to the data of Kazakh Statistics Committee.
Volume of passenger turnover during the reporting period amounted to 219.3 billion passenger kilometers, which also is an increase of 4.9 percent.
In turn, the value of retail trade in Kazakhstan amounted to 8.054 trillion tenge during the reporting period (approximately $20.648 billion), which is 5.5 percent more than during the same period of last year.
Value of wholesale trade equaled 17.571 trillion tenge (approximately $45.048 billion), which also is 8.6 percent compared to the same period of last year.
Furthermore, value of Kazakhstan’s foreign trade turnover amounted to $62.103 million during first eight months of 2019, which is 1.8 percent more than during the same period of last year. This includes export worth $37.559 billion (decrease of 4.5 percent) and import worth $24.543 billion (increase of 13.2 percent).
