Iran discloses export volume of one of its provinces

The products worth $934 million were exported from Iran’s north-eastern Khorasan Razavi province from March 21 through October 22 of this Iranian year (beginning on March 21, 2019), chairman of the Iranian Organization of Industry, Mine and Trade Mohammad Reza Misforush said.

“More than two million tons of products were exported from the province from March 21 through October 22, which is 30 percent more than in the same period of last year,” Misforush added, Trend reports referring to ILNA.

The chairman stressed that saffron, various oil products, except for gasoline, light oil, steel and iron bars, apples, rubber and cement were mainly exported.

Misforush added that the products were mainly exported to Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Iraq, Uzbekistan, the UAE, Pakistan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.

“Some 160,000 tons of products worth $200 million were imported into the province during the reporting period,” the chairman said. “Among those products were cotton, potassium hydroxide, raw silk, cell phones, beans, coffee, rice and ammonium sulfate.”

“The goods were mainly imported from Uzbekistan, the United Arab Emirates, Germany, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, India, Pakistan and Switzerland,” Misforush added.
