Ganja Instrument-Making Plant, which is Azerbaijan’s biggest machine-building enterprise, plans to establish export to new markets in Central Asia, a source in the enterprise told Trend.
The company plans to supply products to the Uzbek market, according to the source.
“Negotiations are being held in this direction with potential partners in this market,” the source noted. “There is a great demand for water meters both domestically and abroad. Export deliveries are planned next year.”
The products of the enterprise have been exported to Georgia, Kazakhstan and Russia since early 2019.
The enterprise produced the products worth 11.2 million manat ($6.6 million) from January through September 2019.
The export volume increased up to 15 percent this year compared to last year, and the biggest share of export - up to 90 percent of all supplies - accounted for water meters.
Presently, the company produces gas pressure regulators, gas control points, LED lamps, water meters and gas pressure regulators. The plant is the biggest one in the region in the field of mechanical engineering. It is engaged in the development and production of measuring instruments, automatic and automated control systems.
