Turkey reduces exports of tubes, pipes and hollow profiles to Georgia

BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 20

Turkey exported 46,729 tons of tubes, pipes and hollow profiles, of iron or steel to Georgia from January through October 2019, Trend reports referring to the Georgian National Statistics Office (Geostat).

During the reporting period, cables and wires totaling $34 million were exported from Turkey to Georgia.

In an annual comparison, Turkey reduced the export of tubes, pipes and hollow profiles, of iron or steel by 8,737 tons. Over the same period last year, 55,466 tons of tubes, pipes and hollow profiles, of iron or steel were exported from Turkey to Georgia for a total of $44.2 million.

From January through October 2019, Turkey exported 41,561 tons of petroleum and petroleum oils worth $32 million to Georgia.

On an annualized basis, Turkey increased petroleum and petroleum oils exports to Georgia by 38,257 tons. Over the same period last year, 3,304 tons of petroleum and petroleum oils totaling $6.32 million were exported from Turkey to Georgia.

For ten months of 2019, total exports from Turkey to Georgia amounted to $1.3 billion. In turn, Georgia exported goods worth $169.5 million to Turkey.

The foreign trade turnover of Georgia with Turkey from January to October 2019 exceeded $1.4 billion, which is 14.2 percent of the total trade turnover of Georgia.
