Iran's exports from Pars Special Economic Energy Zone exceed $550M in 1 month

In the eighth month (from Oct. 23 to Nov. 22) of the current Iranian year began on March 21, 2019), Iran's exports from Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ), located in Asaluyeh county of the country's Bushehr province, amounted to $574.6 million, Director General of PSEEZ Customs Office Ahmad Pourheidar said, Trend reports citing IRNA.

Ahmad Pourheidar noted that over 1.6 million tons of goods were exported from the PSEEZ during the reported month.

Compared to the same month of the previous Iranian year, the exports increased by 39 percent in terms of weight and by 5 percent in monetary terms, the director said.

The export goods included methanol, propane, butane, light and heavy polyethylene, ammonia, sulfur, styrene and crude oil, Ahmad Pourheidar said.

He added that the main export destinations were China, the UAE, South Korea, India, Japan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Turkey, Egypt and Kuwait.
