The Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET) organized a meeting with Deputy Director of the political consultations committee of the government of China's Anhui province Li Xiuxing, Trend reports with reference to UIET.
During the negotiations, issues of cooperation, in particular, in the supply of Chinese electric vehicles and cooperation in the field of tourism, were discussed.
Anhui province is located in the east of China and is a major economic and cultural center of the country. The region has established a modern system for the production of cars, chemicals, electronics and agricultural products. In addition, engineering, energy, and processing industries are developed.
The UIET informed the guests about the implementation of large-scale projects in Turkmenistan, including in the areas of agriculture, chemical industry, transport and logistics.
The UIET brings together over 20,000 businessmen and, according to local standards, they are allowed to create joint ventures with foreign partners by attracting their investments.
There are about 600 private enterprises in the Turkmen industry, including those producing building materials, textiles and carpets, chemicals, metal products, furniture, faience, glass products, as well as polyethylene and plastic products that are in demand in the domestic and foreign markets.
By the end of the year, it is planned to transform firms engaged in the transport and communications industry into joint-stock companies.
