From January through November 2019, Azerbaijan carried out the rail freight transportation worth $2.8 billion, which is 4.2 percent higher than results of the same period of 2018, Trend reports referring to Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.
For this period, rail freight transportation amounted to almost 6.79 million tons, which is 14.5 percent more than last year.
The volume of export rail freight transportation amounted to 2 million tons (grow by 5.2 percent), and in monetary terms to $633.7 million (decrease by 8.9 percent).
The rail transshipment of import freights amounted to 4.7 million tons (grow by 14.8 percent) worth $2.2 billion (grow by 8.2 percent).
At this time, the whole trade of Azerbaijan amounted to $30.6 billion, export to $18.3 billion, and import almost to $12.3 billion.
