Khirdalan Steel Construction Plant, Azerbaijani major manufacturer of metal structures, owned by Akkord Industry Construction Investment Corporation OJSC, plans to increase production capacities this year, a source at the plant told Trend.
During the first three months of this year, the company plans to install new lathes intended for the processing of steel blanks, according to the source.
“According to our estimates, the installation of new equipment at the plant will significantly increase the production capacity of the facility,” the source said. “The annual production of the plant is 3,600 tons of metal. It is planned to increase this figure by 300-350 tons during this year. In the first half of this year, we also plan to open additional production line.”
In parallel, it is planned to increase the production of metal parts for cement plants and auxiliary structures for metal casting.
Several types of induction furnaces with a capacity of one and two tons have been already installed at the plant, and cold rolling machines have been commissioned.
The plant produces the furnaces for die-casting, heat treatment furnaces, as well as equipment of various types intended for cooling metal products, the plant said.
The Khirdalan Steel Construction Plant has been operating in Azerbaijan since 2015.
Akkord Industry Construction Investment Corporation OJSC was established in August 2010 and operates in two segments - construction and production.
The corporation holds a leading position in the implementation of projects for the construction of bridges, tunnels and other road projects, residential houses and other public buildings, as well as in the production of building materials.
