Iran ranks third in nanotechnology standards worldwide

Iran ranks third in terms of nanotechnology standards worldwide, Chairman of the Iranian National Standards Organization Nireh Pirouzbakht said at an event devoted to the Fourth Industrial Revolution in the third millennium held at the Iranian Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, Trend reports via IRNA.

Pirouzbakht noted that Iran ranks fourth in terms of nanoscience achievements worldwide.

The chairman added that standardization work related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution in 2016 has started.

Pirouzbakht said that 17 sustainable development goals are envisaged in this direction.

Referring to Iran’s membership in the World Trade Organization (WTO), the chairman noted that Iran hasn’t yet joined the WTO and cannot enter global trade competition.

In connection with expected Iran’s accession to the WTO, Iran Trade Promotion Organization operates and holds regular meetings every month.
