Iran's steel export during the past 11 months of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2019) has reached to 6.5 million tons that indicate 28 percent increase comparing to last Iranian year(started March,21.2018).
It has been predicted the volume of steel export would reach 10 million tons by the end of current Iranian year (started March,21.2019), Trend reports citing IRNA.
According to statistics, some 6.5 million tons of steel was exported from Isfahan Mobarakeh, Khuzestan, Hormozgan, Azerbijan, Khorasan, Saba and Bonab steel companies.
Iran's steel export had its peak during February with 628,993 tons and 68 percent increase comparing to same time last year.
Iran Alloy Steel Company had the highest rebar export during the mentioned timeframe, while Khuzestan steel company recorded a 78 percent drop in rebar export.
Iran's 2026 outlook plan has targeted production capacity of 55 million tons of steel while 45 percent of it would be exported.
