Azerbaijan’s Ganja Instrument-Making Plant discloses export volumes

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 13

One of the largest industrial enterprises in Azerbaijan, the Ganja Instrument-Making Plant, plans to increase export potential and find new markets for the sale of its products in 2020, Deputy Director of the enterprise Yusif Pashazade told Trend.

Pashazade added that the company has exported products to Georgia and Kazakhstan since the beginning of 2020.

"According to the results of the first two months of 2020, the export of the enterprise amounted to approximately 100,000 units of products. About 70,000 units of products were exported to the Kazakhstani market, and the remaining more than 20,000 units of products were exported to neighboring Georgia. In the next two months we are going to arrange export to the countries with which contracts have been concluded. The terms of a number of agreements expire in March - April 2020; therefore, upon their completion, we will again work on new sales markets and expand the geography of deliveries. In the future, we expect to extend contracts with Russian, Ukrainian and Asian partners,” the deputy director noted.

“In 2019, the enterprise exported 40,000 units more than in 2018. The production volume for 2019 in monetary terms amounted to about 14 million manat [$8.2 million],” the director said.

Currently, the company produces water meters, gas pressure regulators, gas control points, LED lamps, while water meters and gas control points are in the greatest demand.

Ganja Instrument-Making Plant is one of the biggest Azerbaijani enterprises in the field of instrument making, engaged in the development and production of measuring instruments, automatic and automated control systems.

The plant’s activity is aimed at developing and raising the level of instrument making in Azerbaijan and creating modern, high-quality water meters, gas pressure regulators and other measuring instruments that are in demand in the market within the country and abroad.

The plant is located on the territory covering more than five hectares. The production area is 6,000 square meters.

Some 170 people work at the plant.
