Azerbaijan significantly increases vehicles import

Azerbaijan imported goods worth nearly $721 million in January 2020, Trend reports referring to data from Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee.

According to the report, 16.2 percent of the imports account for Russia, 15.8 percent for China, 14.1 percent for Turkey, 6.1 percent for Germany, 4.1 percent for the US, 3.9 percent for Turkmenistan and Italy each, 3.5 percent for Ukraine, 3.3 percent for Iran, 2.6 percent for the UK, 1.9 percent for France, 1.8 percent for Korea and Japan, 1.3 percent for Mexico and 19.7 percent for other countries.

The import of vegetable oils increased by 6.8 times, cars and household refrigerators - 2.5 times; bar of ferrous metals - 2.3 times; buses - two times, tea - 90 percent; calculating machines, blocks and structures - by 60 percent; rolled steel - by 47.6 percent; washing machines - by 42.1 percent; butter and oils of animal origin - by 40.3 percent; trucks - by 35.8 percent; polyethylene — 60 percent, and fresh vegetables - by 8.5 percent compared to January 2019.

The import of wheat imports decreased by 54.4 percent, fresh fruits - by 6.4 times; potatoes - by 13.5 percent, products and additives from poultry meat - by 10.5 percent; beef - by 12.2 percent, sugar and granulated sugar - by 81.1 percent; cigarettes - by 94.3 percent, pipes and corners of ferrous metal - by 7.9 and 48 percent, respectively; rubber tires - by 32.1 percent ; furniture - by 13.8 percent; mineral fertilizers - by 90.6 percent; cement and cement clinkers - by 54.9 percent; household air conditioners - by 53.6 percent.
