The volume of food production in Azerbaijan totaled 644.4 million manat from January through February 2020, which is 1.2 percent more than in the same period in 2019, Trend reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan’s beverage production grew by 2.1 times standing at 43.3 million manat, tobacco products’ output rose by 16.3 percent and reached 41.1 million manat. The largest annual growth among food products was recorded in the production of sour cream with 58.9 percent and margarine with 27 percent.
Azerbaijan saw a 3-percent decline in overall food production in February 2020, while beverage and tobacco production rose by 34.8 percent and 23 percent, respectively.
