In recent years, despite the sanctions, Iran’s agricultural sector has been successful and growth in the sector has been more than 7.4 percent during last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 through March 21, 2020), Deputy Minister of Agricultural Jihad said.
Referring to implementation measures and the allocation of funds from the National Development Fund for the implementation of watershed management, desertification and mitigation projects in recent years, Mohammad Reza Talaiee said that despite sanctions, the agricultural sector has been successful in working with the government and private sector, Trend reports citing IRNA.
He stated that the plans of the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad are being implemented vigorously.
Talaiee went on to say that the list of agricultural projects for new Iranian year (started on March 20) will be presented soon.
