Sugar price is stable and won’t be increased, said Guram Brodzeli, director of Georgian sugar importer company Alfa said, Trend reports citing Georgian media.
According to him, sugar imports are running smoothly at the moment and supplies are sufficient.
"The price of sugar is still stable and to my estimation, it will not increase. Today, the price of imported sugar varies from 1.60 lari to 1.70 lari (50-54 cents) per one kilogram, and we provide the supply of sugar throughout Georgia”, Guram Brodzeli said.
According to him, the company has no problems with imports.
"Currently, we have no problems, and we are going to continue supplies,” Guram Brodzeli said.
He added that the company imports sugar from European countries, Russia and Ukraine.
Alfa is the Georgian major sugar importer company, which provides local market with high quality sugar.
