Turkmenistan’s Tsigit economic society that grows tomatoes, plans to establish cooperation with trade networks of Russia and other countries, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenportal informational portal.
Tomatoes produced by this company have already been exported to the UAE, where they were highly appreciated by consumers. The tomatoes are available in the Carrefour trading network in the premium vegetables sections, the report said.
According to Agamyrat Charyev, the head of this economic society, 100 tons of tomatoes per month are supplied to the UAE under a contract signed after the product received a high rating in the Carrefour trading network.
The Carrefour trade networks are also available online, and the online customers leave positive reviews about the tomatoes.
The society is planning to start exports of other products in the future.
Carrefour is a French trade network established in 1957. Currently, it has more than 15,130 stores around the world.
Last year, Turkmen entrepreneurs exported about 16,000 tons of tomatoes. In addition to the UAE, Turkmenistan’s tomatoes are exported to the CIS countries.
