Uzbekistan plans to increase productivity of its meat, dairy industry

Representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Malaysia and representatives of Malaysian CIMES International company, discussed implementation of innovative 'Black Soldier Fly' project regarding production of high-value protein compounds, Trend reports citing Uzbek media.

The project is designed to utilize organic waste and produce high-value protein compounds. Organic waste will be used as feed additives at poultry farms and livestock farms in the Koson district of Kashkadarya region, the message said.

"CIMES International Executive Director Krishnan Ramamurti expressed interest in implementation of this investment project at an initial stage cost of about $500,000 with a production capacity of 18 tons of feed per day," the report says.

According to the pilot project, it is planned to introduce modern technologies and provide farmers with import-substituting fodder products. At the same time, the productivity of the meat and dairy industry is expected to increase, the message said.

Malaysian CIMES International company, founded in 1994, is engaged in cultivation of fruits and vegetables using irrigation water and energy-saving technologies. The company also exports to Southeast Asia.
