Azerbaijan’s SOBSAN factory in Baku, which is engaged in production of decorative wallpapers, starts developing new type of fireproof wallpaper mainly used in shipbuilding, a source in the factory told Trend.
“The factory has begun to produce the wallpaper used in shipbuilding rather recently; however, now it is already seeking to expand production of fireproof wallpaper, which has a wide range of usage including in the construction of multi-story residential and public buildings,” the source said.
“The development of new varieties will begin in the summer months of this year,” the source noted. “In parallel, the factory plans to start wallpaper production based on European technologies, as well as water-based ones. Currently, the factory is developing velour wallpaper, in a wide range of color shades."
According to the source, the factory also plans to export the products to CIS countries and to Iraq.
Azerbaijani SOBSAN factory is one of the largest production enterprises in the South Caucasus.
The factory has been operating in the country for 20 years.
