Kazakhstan to oversee launch of thousands of infrastructure projects

Implementation of over 6,500 infrastructure projects is overseen within the framework of Kazakhstan’s Employment Roadmap, Trend reports with reference to the press office of Kazakhstan’s prime minister.

The topic of the roadmap implementation was discussed during the government conference call chaired by Kazakhstan’s PM Askar Mamin.

The Employment Roadmap provides includes infrastructure projects for repair and construction of social facilities, engineering and transport infrastructure, irrigation and irrigation systems, housing and communal services facilities, and improvement of settlements.

A total of 255,000 jobs will be created due to the implementation of these projects.

Overall, within the framework of the implementation of all state programs, over 1.22 million people are to be employed, 235,000 permanent jobs will be opened.

Mamin also emphasized that currently the main priority for the Kazakh government is to preserve employment.

“At the same time, the infrastructure improvement is another priority, along with provision of employment and preservation of economic activity of population, that will give a great positive effect for the restoration of the country's economy,” the PM said.

He noted the good dynamics of the projects launch in East Kazakhstan, Almaty, Zhambyl, Karaganda, Turkistan and Pavlodar regions.

Nearing the end of the meeting, Mamin instructed all state bodies to ensure the achievement of the planned employment indicators, and to conduct daily monitoring of the implementation of the Employment Roadmap and other state programs regarding the creation of permanent jobs and population employment.
