Iran reveals volume of product export via customs of Hamadan Province

About 80,000 tons of products worth $23 million were exported through the customs of the Hamadan province in western Iran during February 19-April 19, 2020, said Director General of Hamedan Customs Administration Morteza Najafi, Trend reports citing the Industry, Mines and Trade Organization of Hamadan province’s website.

According to Najafi, product export increased by 10 percent within the mentioned timeframe, compared to the same period last year.

Najafi added that despite the coronavirus, Hamadan exporters didn't have any problems.

The official said that 630,000 tons of products worth $150 million exported from Hamadan Province in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020). The product exports increased by 21 percent in terms of value and 47 percent in terms of weight, compared to the preceding year (from March 21, 2018 to March 21, 2019).

Najafi said that the exported products were mainly agricultural and industrial products, mostly exported to European countries and Russia.

According to the official, last year, 5,600 tons of products worth $30 million were imported into the province. The product imports increased by 14 percent in terms of value and 23 percent in term of weight, compared to the preceding year.

The official said that the products were mainly imported from Germany, Turkey, China and European countries, and the imported products were mainly equipment.
