By Matanat Nasibova – Trend:

The volumes of alcohol production at Azerbaijan's Jalilabad Winery have increased slightly in the first quarter of 2020 compared to the same period of 2019, a source in the winery told Trend.

According to the source, the enterprise plans to increase production of cognac.

Currently, the winery produces 5 types of cognac.

In the second half of 2020, it is planned to develop two more new types of cognac, the source added.

Cognac products are stored in special oak barrels, as well as in the enterprise’s warehouses. These products are intended for export as well.

“The company’s daily wine production is 20,000 bottles. By the end of 2020, it is planned to bring this figure to 25,000 bottles daily,” said the source.

The winery also plans to increase the export potential and geography of supply routes. Currently, the enterprise exports its products to Russia, China and Poland.

In 2019, the company produced more than 170,000 dekaliters of wine, which is 17 percent more compared to 2018, while more than 40 percent of the products were exported outside the country.

The enterprise uses Italian and Bulgarian equipment in production process.
