Product exports from Belarus to Kazakhstan increase in 1Q2020

The value of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Belarus amounted to $147.07 million in 1Q2020, compared to $142.1 million during the same period of 2019, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

The share of Belarus in total value of Kazakhstan’s trade turnover was 0.7 percent during the reporting period of 2020 which is flat year-on-year compared to 0.7 percent during the same period of 2019.

Kazakhstan’s export to Belarus amounted to $17.6 million over the period from January through March 2020, compared to $19.06 million during the same period of 2019.

Belarus’s share in total volume of Kazakhstan’s export amounted to 0.1 percent during the reporting period of 2020, compared to 0.1 percent during the same period of 2019.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s import from Belarus amounted to $129.3 million over 1Q2020 compared to $123.03 million during the same period of 2019.

Belarus’s total share in Kazakhstan’s import was 1.8 percent during the reporting period of 2020 compared to 1.7 percent during the same period of 2019.

Total volume of Kazakhstan’s trade turnover amounted to $21 billion in 1Q2020 which indicates an increase from $20.4 billion during the same period of 2019.

Kazakhstan’s export amounted to $13.9 billion during the reporting period of 2020 ($13.3 billion in the same period of 2019), whereas imports amounted to $7.09 billion ($7.1 billion).

The value of mutual trade between Kazakhstan and other countries of Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) amounted to $4.3 billion over the course of 1Q2020, which is 2.1 percent less compared to the same period of 2019.

Russia leads by value of trade turnover with Kazakhstan in the structure of total trade turnover with EAEU countries (92.5 percent in the total share), while 4.1 percent account for Kyrgyzstan and 3.3 percent account for Belarus.
