Iranian ministry: provision of basic materials to production sector is key priority
TEHRAN, Iran, May 29
The priority for Iran's Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade is to provide basic materials for the needs of production industry, said the acting industry minister.
"The ministry main tasks include production leap, improving domestic production, export development, controlling import and market management," Hossein Modares Khyabani said, Trend reports citing ILNA.
"Providing basic material to factories is the first factor in production leap, and they can be supplied from upstream industries," he said. "Some producers can directly purchase their basic material from domestic factories. Furthermore, they can help the foreign currency revenue return via production and supplies to the market."
"The problem of import and release of products from the customs will be addressed during discussions with Iran Customs Administration" he said adding that the ministry is ready to ban import of those home appliances' spare parts that have similar domestically produced version.
"However, this should be approved manufacturers association and other authorities," the official added.
