BAKU, Azerbaijan, Jun. 5

Kazakhstan is working on the issue of introducing a unified social payment, Kazakhstan’s Ministry of National Economy told Trend.

The ministry official said that the unified social payment may be introduced in order to develop a consolidated solution on the volume and mechanisms of collecting social payments by business to ensure a balance between the stability of social and pension systems, as well as to maintain incentives for business development.

“One of the proposed approaches to establish the unified social payment which includes social tax, contributions to the State Social Insurance Fund, Social Health Insurance Fund and mandatory pension contributions of employers,” the official said.

The official emphasized that the calculation and payment of individual income tax, as well as of mandatory pension contributions are proposed to remain unchanged.

“These proposals are being discussed jointly with interested parties and, thus, specific approaches will be developed after conducting a detailed study, taking into account all available aspects,” the official said.

Last month, Kazakhstan’s Vice Minister of National Economy Madi Takiev said that a unified payment document for paying taxes may be developed in Kazakhstan.

Takiev said that the document may be introduced in 2021. He added that the initiative was supported by local business sector.
