Kazatomprom National Atomic Company pays out dividends on ordinary shares

Kazakhstan’s Kazatomprom National Atomic Company paid dividends on its ordinary shares, Trend reports with reference to the company’s statement.

The statement was submitted to and published by Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE).

The company said that the payments were made over the course from May 28 through Jun. 5, 2020 on the KZ1C00001619 ordinary shares.

A total of over 99 billion tenge ($247.4 million) of funds were paid. The payments amounted to 381.72 tenge (95 cents) per one share.

On May 19, 2020 Kazakhstan’s Kazatomprom National Atomic Company made a decision to pay a total of approximately 99 billion tenge ($247.4 million) worth of dividends.

The corresponding decision was made during an annual general meeting of shareholders held on May 18, 2020.

Kazatomprom said then that based on the company’s Dividend Policy and 2019 financial results, shareholders approved a dividend payment for 2019 in the amount of 381.72 tenge (91.3 cents) per one ordinary share of Kazatomprom to be paid from 2019 earnings.

The 2019 dividend were paid to shareholders of record as at 00:00 (GMT+6) on May 27, 2020.

Kazatomprom is the world's largest producer of uranium, with the company’s attributable production representing approximately 23 percent of global primary uranium production in 2018.

The company benefits from the largest reserve base in the industry and operates, through its subsidiaries, JVs and Associates, 26 deposits grouped into 13 mining assets. All the company’s mining operations are located in Kazakhstan.
