By Tamilla Mammadova – Trend:

Georgia is moving into the next phase of systematic land registration which will cover the Tetritskharo, Gardabani, Kareli, Gori and Sagarejo municipalities of the country, said Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia, Trend reports with reference to Georgian media.

Gakharia noted that land registration will help support economic activities in the field of agriculture.

"This is a very important issue, because use of 111,000 hectares of land will now be regulated, for which there is already funding", said Gakharia.

According to him, citizens will not have to pay for land registration, and that the Ministry of Justice will fully resolve this issue.

"It will be complete cadastral data, free of charge for our citizens", PM said.

He added that the government has a three-year plan with its budget in order to complete the systematic land registration in Georgia.

The Georgian government plans to register a total of 1.2 million hectares over the next three years.
