BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 16
By Tamilla Mammadova – Trend:
Face masks produced in Georgia by private companies have been exported to European countries and the US, Trend reports referring to Georgian media.
"Now we can say that we used to be an importing country, but now Georgia is a country that is exporting face masks”, said Georgian Economy Minister Natia Turnava.
She added that the 12-layer face masks produced in the framework of the state program are not to be exported.
Turnava said that about 5 million 12-layer face masks have been produced and supplied to pharmacies so far.
In March, around 10 Georgian companies began producing face masks in a move to meet the demand for face masks amid the outbreak of the new coronavirus.
