Turkmenistan’s Taze Energiya company has installed solar power supply systems in the villages of Kelleli, Yel and Byashkak in the Akhal region, Trend reports with reference to the Business Turkmenistan information portal.

Earlier, the company installed solar panels in a remote area of the country's Akhal region to supply electricity to cell towers.

Taze Energiya plans to build a solar power plant with a capacity of 10 MW near the Turkmenistan’s Altyn Asyr lake, the report said.

Recently, the company has signed a contract with an Italian company to produce solar panels using the new Glaas&Glaas technology.

As reported, the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan is working on the use of renewable energy sources.

Within the framework of the energy saving program developed in Turkmenistan for the period up to 2024, the country will focus on the construction of solar power plants.

The country aims to export silicon to world markets, which is the basic chemical element for creating equipment that allows you to obtain environmentally friendly electricity.
