Iran declares value of sweets and chocolate exports

Iran exported sweets, chocolates, cereal products and biscuits worth $152.8 million to 56 countries during 4 months of the current Iranian year (March 20-July 21, 2020), Spokesman for Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Rouhollah Latifi said, Trend reports citing IRICA.

Latifi emphasized that Iran exported 39,500 tons of sweets and chocolates worth $58 million to more than 38 countries, during the same period.

Latifi said that in addition, Iran has exported more than 106,300 tons of cereal products, including bread, dough and biscuits worth $94.8 million to more than 53 countries over the past four months.

"The products were mainly exported to Norway, Netherlands, Australia, Germany, Austria, Canada, Malaysia, Japan, Poland, Djibouti, Russia, Pakistan, Kuwait, Côte d'Ivoire, Qatar, Kyrgyzstan, Switzerland, China, Bahrain, Iraq, Tajikistan, Somalia, Yemen, the UAE, Afghanistan, Belarus, Niger, Oman and etc.," he added.

The official noted that Iran exported $24.7 million worth of sweets and chocolates to Iraq, worth of $22.1 million to Afghanistan and worth of $7.49 million to Pakistan.

According to Latifi, Iran exported bread and cereal products worth $50.3 million to Iraq, worth $20.9 million to Afghanistan and worth $6.3 million to Pakistan in four months.
