E-health developing in Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan was represented at a large international online training for technical specialists and e-health developers by specialists from NIHOL-KOMTEX (resident of IT-Park Uzbekistan), Trend reports referring to NIHOL-KOMTEX Company for design and creation of information systems in Uzbekistan.

The training was organized by the International Telecommunication Union with the assistance of the Odessa National Academy of Communications.

The event, which was attended by Uzbek specialists, was opened by the presentation on the role of e-health and telemedicine in the developing world. It presented the concept and main components of e-health, problems on the way of its development.

IT-developers got acquainted with the concept of telemedicine and its main tools, types of telemedicine services, features of building telemedicine networks, successful projects for the implementation of telemedicine.

The participants of the international training were given recommendations on the use of modern technical solutions in the design of e-health systems, including telemedicine networks.

Examples of the best international practices for using ICT in healthcare were presented during the training. IT specialists also learned about the principles of organizing operational dispatch services for emergency medical care, familiarized themselves with popular software and hardware systems in e-health, with an overview of the main programs designed to work with medical data.

The NIHOL-KOMTEX specialists also underwent testing at the event, receiving appropriate certificates afterwards.

Knowledge gained in the field of e-health will be used in the development of new information systems, and will also be useful in the further development of the functionality of the Clinical Information System, which is currently being implemented by Nihol-Komtex in one of the largest ophthalmological centers in Uzbekistan.
