Iran Khodro Industrial Group has increased passenger car manufacturing by 50 percent since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020) to September 24 compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing the group’s official website.
According to the report, more than 242,000 cars were manufactured during the reporting period. This figure is more than 80,000 units compared to the same period last Iranian year.
“Thus, 161,846 cars were manufactured in the same period last Iranian year,” the report added.
In addition, the cars that lack spare parts are being upgraded. So, more than 30,000 cars will put up for sale in a short time, the report noted.
According to the report, Iran Khodro Automaker Company is currently fulfilling its obligation to deliver cars to customers. At present, the number of cars to be delivered to customers under this obligation is less than 30,000.
In Iran, when citizens want to buy a car directly from a car company, they register by paying a certain amount of money and take over the car at the announced price after the car is manufactured.
