Production of Iran's Anguran mine increases

The production of the Anguran zinc and lead mine in the Zanjan Province (northwestern Iran) increased by 5 percent in the 6th month of the current Iranian year (August 22-September 21, 2020) compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports citing Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).

According to the report, 88,700 tons of mining materials were extracted from the Anguran mine in the 6th month. While in the same month last Iranian year, 84,000 tons of mining materials were extracted.

“The volume of mining materials transported from the Anguran mine to local companies amounted to 83,300 tons within sixth month. This is an increase of 66 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year. Thus, 50,000 tons of mining materials were transported in the same month of last Iranian year,” the report said.

According to the report, a total of 473,000 tons of mining materials were extracted from the Anguran mine during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 20-September 21, 2020).

However, this figure amounted to 474,000 tons in the same period last Iranian year.

At the same time, the volume of mining materials transported from the Anguran mine to local companies increased by 74 percent to 478,000 tons during 6 months compared to the same period last Iranian year. This figure was 274,000 tons in the same period last Iranian year.

Lead and zinc materials are extracted from the Anguran mine.
