EAEU increases exports of dairy products to Turkmenistan

Turkmenistan increased imports of condensed and powdered milk and cream 2.7 times from the countries of the European Economic Union (EAEU) from January through August of this year, compared to the same period last year, Trend reports with reference to the Eurasian Economic Commission.

During this period, Turkmenistan imported more than 530 tons of condensed and powdered milk and cream from countries such as Belarus and Russia, totaling $ 1.1 million, which is also 3.4 times more than the amount of Turkmenistan's imports of condensed and powdered milk and cream for the same period last year.

According to statistics, the share of Belarus in the total exports amounted to more than $951,159, while Russia's share was more than $166,536.

Also, during this period, Turkmenistan imported more than 324 tons of cheese and yogurt, totaling $834,846, which is also more than the amount of cheese and yogurt imports from January through August of last year by 33 percent.

The countries exporting cheese and yogurt in the specified period were Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia. At the same time, the share of Belarus in the total export amounted to $394,047, Kazakhstan-$10,852, and Russia – $429,945.
