Iran's NIDC reveals spare parts manufactured domestically

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Nov. 1

As many as 242 types of spare parts for the mining sector were manufactured domestically for the first time by specialists of the National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC) and other local manufacturers during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 20-September 21, 2020), said Director of Research, Technology and Engineering Department at National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC) Mehdi Arshian, Trend reports citing the company’s website.

According to Arshian, more than 25 billion rials (about $595,000) were spent on the manufacturing of these spare parts.

The director added that these spare parts include drilling rigs, cranes, various sensors and so on.

“Six contracts worth 85 billion rials ($2.02 million) have been signed with Iranian universities and startup companies over the past six months,” he said.

Furthermore, a number of projects are being implemented. Within these projects, it is planned to prepare 20 system programs (applications). So far, 9 of them have been prepared and launched, Arshian noted.
