Iran's trade turnover with European countries announced

Iran's foreign trade turnover with European countries amounted to 15.9 million tons worth $8.8 billion during the first 7 months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through October 21, 2020), Spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Rouhollah Latifi said, Trend reports citing IRICA.

Latifi emphasized that Iran exported 5.6 million tons of goods worth $2.06 billion to European countries during the reporting period.

Latifi added that Iran has exported goods to 37 countries, including Russia, Germany, Italy, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belgium, Switzerland, Denmark, France, Spain, Britain, the Netherlands, Sweden, Slovakia, Norway, and others.

The spokesman noted that Iran exported the largest amount of goods in the European continent to Turkey (worth about $1.49 billion) and the smallest amount of goods to Scotland (worth about $13,000).

"Over this period, Iran imported goods from 44 European countries. Iran imported 10.3 million tons of goods worth $6.74 billion," he said.

Latifi also said that Turkey, Germany, Russia, and Britain are the main countries that Iran imports goods.
