Iran's banks improve online apps to reduce large gatherings

TEHRAN, Iran, Nov.17

Trend:

Iran's Saderat Bank would cooperate with the government plan to implement new restrictions to fight coronavirus, said the CEO.

"Choosing the best solutions to implement health protocols and provide services to customers were discussed among high-rank bank officials," said Hojatollah Seydi, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency.

"The government's instructions for reducing the number of employees to one third in red zones, to half in orange zones and two third in yellow zones would be implemented in banks. Considering the country's specific situation, Saderat Bank is taking the new instructions seriously and would use all its capabilities to provide services to its customers remotely," he added.

Seydi went on to say that the focus of bank services would be on online bank capacities, the cash withdrawal, and money transfer should be possible at any time and banks would not be closed during two weeks closures. Furthermore, providing banking services and using different apps for reducing customers' physical attendance would be followed at all branches.

"All bank branches would be disinfected continuously, and social distancing and suitable conditions for work environment and employee will be implemented," he noted.

Iranian government decided to implement more restrictions for two more weeks from November 21 to December 4 to curb the rising Coronavirus infection and mortality rates and close unessential businesses during this period.
