The volume of foreign trade turnover of Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic increased from January through November 2020, Trend reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
The volume of foreign trade turnover for the past 11 months of 2020 amounted to $450.8 million, which is three percent more than in the same period of 2019.
Export operations of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic amounted to $387.5 million, increasing by 0.8 percent in annual terms.
Import of products to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic amounted to $63.3 million, also increasing by 19.2 percent for the year.
Thus, the trade balance of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic remained positive, amounting to $324.2 million.
Some 17.6 percent accounted for the share of foreign trade operations in the structure of GDP of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
The GDP of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic amounted to 2.5 billion manat from January through November 2019.
The volume of foreign trade turnover amounted to $437.5 million (17.6 percent in the structure of GDP).
