Several plans to be implemented in Iran's Persian Gulf Special Economic Zone

A total of 10 development plans will be implemented in the 1st and 3rd points of the Persian Gulf Mining and Metal Industries Special Economic Zone, Executive Director of the zone Hassan Xalaj Tehrani said, Trend reports citing the zone’s official website.

Xalaj Tehrani stressed that it has been decided to be implemented 5 mining plans worth about $138 million in the 1st point of the zone, and private companies will implement these plans.

The director noted that these plans include the production of 50,000 tons of organic chemicals per year, 50,000 tons of ferroalloy, 330,000 tons of lime, 10,000 tons of ferrosilicon, and 500 tons of metal platforms.

“In addition, five plans worth $206 million will be implemented in the 3rd point of the zone,” he added.

According to Xalaj Tehrani, these plans include the production of 50,000 tons of ferroalloys, 10,000 tons of metal silicon, 10,000 tons of graphite electrode, 55,000 tons of ferrum-alloy, and the creation of a thermal power plant with a generation capacity of 200 megawatts of electricity.
