The National Iranian Copper Industries Company produced 263,000 tons of copper anode and 207,000 tons of copper cathode during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 20 through December 20, 2020), Managing Director of the company, Ardashir Sad Mohammadi said, Trend reports referring to the company’s official website.
Sad Mohammadi said that copper anode production increased by 16 percent and copper cathode by 9 percent over the reporting period, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
“In addition, the company's copper anode production increased by 10 percent and copper cathode by 5 percent, compared to the production plan,” he added.
The director noted that the National Iranian Copper Industries Company produced 905,000 tons of copper concentrate within 9 months. The copper concentrate production increased by 5 percent compared to the plan.
Sad Mohammadi stressed that 134 million tons of mining materials were extracted in 9 months. This is an increase of 1 percent compared to the plan.
According to him, 40 million tons of sulfur stone were extracted by the company in 9 months. The production increased by 2 percent compared to the plan.
